Erin Quant (soon to be Erin Hyde) is the founder of Hyde & Chic.

From a young age Erin had a passion for fashion. You have probably planned out a first day of school look, but have you planned out a last day of school look to leave a strong impression? Erin has. Shopping and getting dressed were her most important forms of self-expression. As she got older, family and friends would look to her for fashion advice, new trends and shopping assistance. In pursuit of a career in fashion, Erin enrolled in the College of Textiles at North Carolina State University.

While studying Fashion and Textile Management in school, Erin became enthralled in the exciting world of fashion and textile studies and soon became surrounded by friends who were equally fashion focused. She continued to help friends and family with shopping and styling. Cleaning out her sister Lindsay’s closet for hours and getting her mom in the perfect pair of skinny jeans were proud accomplishments.

After graduating with a concentration in Brand Management & Marketing, Erin made her way to New York City temporarily working with casting and production company, communa-k. After one fast paced and fun-filled season of New York Fashion Week, Erin was hooked! For three years Erin continued to work with communa-k casting models, producing fashion shows and coordinating backstage. Like most twenty-somethings in the city, Erin juggled a few other jobs including a PR internship with Diesel. Her production skills led her to a studio manager role with a small men’s designer brand where she managed e-commerce photo shoots, campaigns and runway shows.

The glamour and grind of New York City had Erin thinking of new adventures. Long distance boyfriend (now fiancé) Will was also seeking new opportunities. Seattle was the perfect mix of city life and outdoor adventure. When considering Seattle, Erin had her heart set on working for Nordstrom who has corporate headquarters downtown. Starting at the photography studio, Erin worked her way up with a few positions on the salesperson video production team and is now a project manager for the digital operations business of Nordstrom.com.

Living in Seattle was a bit of a culture shock for Erin where it is normal to see people wearing crocs and puffer jackets at a five-star restaurant. After a few months of feeling overdressed - Erin embraced her personal style and leaned into the west coast ease of living. What Seattle lacks in high fashion, it makes up for in sustainable fashion, local boutiques and quality thrift shops. Erin is focused on having a sustainable wardrobe that is anything but boring! Thrifting, borrowing, renting and buying more quality pieces have led her to have an equally sustainable and chic wardrobe. Now she is venturing out to help others achieve the wardrobe of their dreams with her closet curation, wardrobe styling and personal shopping business Hyde & Chic.

Whether you are passionate about fashion, trying to define your personal style or just want to feel more in control and organized in your wardrobe - there is a Hyde & Chic service for you!
